APPLICATION INFORMATION
Who Can Apply
Applicants must be manufacturing companies that have significant manufacturing operations in Alabama. A previous Alabama Manufacturer of the Year Grand Award Winner may reapply for any of its multiple Alabama locations after three consecutive years of nonparticipation from the date of its last award. Self-nominations are strongly encouraged.
Grand Awards
Small Manufacturers (1 to 99 employees)
Medium Manufacturers (100 to 399 employees)
Large Manufacturers (400 or more employees)
Emerging Manufacturer of the Year Award
(Maybe presented to one company per year that has been in operation for ten or fewer years and has demonstrated superior performance. The one winner could be from either the small, medium, or large categories.)

Process
Step 1. The nomination period opens on Monday, June 1, 2026. Please complete all required fields and contact information on the Nomination Form by Friday, July 3, 2026, and ensure all information submitted is accurate. Once the form is complete, click submit.
The Nomination Form will automatically be sent to the MOTY Committee for review. Upon approval, the designated company contact listed on the form will receive a confirmation email with a link to the official MOTY application and submission instructions.
Step 2: Review a sample MOTY application by clicking here. Companies must submit a completed application addressing all listed criteria to be considered.
Application Deadline:
Completed applications are due by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, July 24, 2026.
Judging Timeline:
Applications will be evaluated from Monday, July 27, through Wednesday, August 26, 2026. Finalists will be notified by Friday, August 28, following the conclusion of judging.
Awards Announcement and Ceremony:
Winners will be announced at the Manufacturer of the Year Awards Ceremony on Thursday, October 1, at the Montgomery Country Club from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Company Interviews:
Following the conclusion of the ceremony, award recipients will remain for a featured interview to reflect on their achievement and share insights into their success.
Confidentiality:
All application materials will be held in strict confidence and used solely for judging purposes. Judges agree not to communicate, copy, or distribute any application information beyond the award administrator. An independent panel will evaluate each submission based solely on its content and quality. All questions must be fully completed for proper consideration.
