Since 2000, the Alabama Manufacturer of the Year Awards program has grown into a prestigious annual celebration attended by Alabama dignitaries and manufacturing leaders.
These annual awards recognize the state’s top manufacturers for their accomplishments. By applying for the award, manufacturers convey their story of financial growth, manufacturing leadership, market leadership, leadership development, and workforce enhancement. Awards are presented in three categories based on the number of employees: Small Category – 99 or less; Medium – 100 to 399; Large Category – 400 or greater. In addition, The Emerging Manufacturer of the Year Award may be presented to one company that has been in operation for five or fewer years and has demonstrated superior performance.

The Alabama Training Network (ATN), an entity of the Alabama Community College System (ACCS), provides extensive workforce training, technical assistance, and business solutions to incumbent workers designed to empower and strengthen Alabama manufacturers in areas of Agribusiness and Food Services, Continual Improvement, Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Maintenance & Technology, and Leadership & Management Development. ATN is the Alabama Center in the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) National Network, which provides any U.S. manufacturer with access to resources they need to succeed.
The Business Council of Alabama is Alabama’s foremost voice for business. The BCA is a non-partisan statewide business association representing the interests and concerns of nearly 1 million working Alabamians through its member companies and its partnership with the Chamber of Commerce Association of Alabama. The BCA is Alabama’s exclusive affiliate to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Manufacturers.
Manufacture Alabama is the only trade association in the state dedicated exclusively to the competitive, legislative, regulatory and operational interests and needs of manufacturers and their partner industries and businesses. MA represents hundreds of companies – from the most recognized international corporations to small, family-owned operations – that share common interests and face similar competitive challenges.
